News...2006.Q4...Shorebirds at PA Baylands   Galleries   Notes   About Me
During rainy winter in northern California, my shooting schedule has to go with sunny days, and today is one of those days. I went to Palo Alto Baylands Preserve a hour and half before sunset. It's all quiet, but not lacking of birds. Many of them were busy feeding themselves. Since it's low tide, there isn't much water in the Lagoon and Sloughs.

I stayed at the bank of Lagoon, watched a group of avocet feeding, fighting and flying. All other birds, including godwits, willets, ducks, egrets and gulls, were all occasionally showing in front of my lens. A pair of resident Pheasant were also found inside nearby bushes. Not a special day, but I did enjoy the sun set.
